- A Coruña is positioned as a strategic destination for Metrovacesa’s investment in the coming years, where it will develop a total of 1,500 homes spread over three areas, with San Pedro de Visma being the most advanced, involving the construction of some 600 homes and an accumulated investment of 145 million euros.
A Coruña, 4 June 2024. Metrovacesa, Spain’s leading real estate developer with more than 100 years of history and 115 projects under development nationwide, is launching its new development in A Coruña, Residencial Caleida. Comprising 96 multi-family homes with between 1 and 4 bedrooms and multiple communal spaces, the developer plans to invest close to 24 million euros in its development.
Residencial Caleida, designed by Álvaro Romero of ARA Arquitectos, has a structure of staggered terraces which, together with the spaciousness of the spaces designed for this project, provide great luminosity to the homes. In addition, the high quality and eco-sustainable materials combine with the modern aesthetics of the rooms.
In addition to the private terraces and access to the garage and storage room, future residents have access to multiple communal areas such as a social lounge on the ground floor, garden and outdoor swimming pool. In the conception of the project, aesthetic and functional aspects have been taken into account in common use elements such as lifts, mailboxes or access areas.
In terms of materials, Metrovacesa has opted for those that guarantee the correct thermal insulation and ventilation of the building, as well as humidity control to optimise the energy consumption of the home.
These measures are part of the initiatives carried out by Metrovacesa in its developments to mitigate environmental damage. The homes, in accordance with the Green Sustainable Building and DOMUM seal, have A-A certifications in consumption and emissions. To this end, efficient technology elements have been installed, such as renewable energy generators, eco-efficient construction elements and operational air conditioning systems.
Metrovacesa, committed to A Coruña
A Coruña is positioned as a strategic destination for Metrovacesa’s investment in the coming years, where it plans to develop a total of 1,500 homes spread over three areas. With its dynamic economy, rich cultural offer and high quality of life, the Galician city offers a favourable environment for the development of innovative and sustainable real estate projects. Metrovacesa recognises the potential of A Coruña as a key market and is committed to contributing to the growth and positive transformation of this vibrant city.
Residencial Caleida is the developer’s commitment to the San Pedro de Visma area, a new neighbourhood under development in A Coruña, currently in the process of urbanisation. With a projected 3,600 homes and 90,000 m2 of green areas, this development will provide its inhabitants with everything they need to carry out their daily routine with comfort and quality.
Metrovacesa foresees the development of some 600 homes in the area, concentrating an accumulated investment of 145 million euros. The other two large plots of land owned by the developer are O Portiño and Percebeiras, both of which are in the urban development management phase with the local administration and where 700 and 200 units are planned to be built, respectively.
This new development has very good transport links, just a few kilometres from the airport, shopping, education, leisure and sports centres. Therefore, the new residents of Residencial Caleida will have access to green spaces and all the services necessary for day-to-day living without compromising the proximity to the city centre, just two kilometres from their homes.
