Seville, 1 August 2024. Metrovacesa, Spain’s leading real estate developer with more than one hundred years of history and more than 115 projects under development nationwide, is starting work on Sierra Aracena, a new residential development that will offer subsidised housing at a limited price in the large Isla Natura neighbourhood in Seville. In order to carry out this project, the developer plans to invest 10.6 million euros.

Residencial Sierra Aracena is the fourth development with a Limited Price Subsidised Housing (VPP) typology in Isla Natura. Specifically, the project is at the beginning of the construction phase, with the first homes expected to be delivered in 2026.

The project consists of 56 homes with between 2 and 3 bedrooms distributed over 6 floors, with typologies such as ground floors, penthouses or mezzanines to provide different homes to suit the different needs of the inhabitants. The homes include outdoor terraces, which bring light into the rooms, as well as access to storage rooms and garages.

The development has been designed by SV60 Architects, with high standards and requirements of adaptability and comfort in day to day life. The development, in addition to the residential building, includes private communal areas such as a garden and outdoor swimming pool.

With the development of Isla Natura, Metrovacesa’s eco-neighbourhood in Seville, the developer now has a total of 330 Limited Price Subsidised Housing units on offer under the Andalusian Regional Government’s VIVE Plan. Specifically, in addition to Sierra Aracena, the Sierra Nevada, Sierra Morena and Sierra de Cazorla projects, all of which are currently under construction, stand out.

Sustainability, the key axis in Isla Natura

Metrovacesa is developing the eco-neighbourhood on more than 67 hectares, seeking to regenerate the urban space in the south of Seville. In addition to offering services with high standards of sustainability and landscaped areas that are green lungs for the capital, the developments are conceived under the highest parameters of sustainability and environmental preservation.

Sierra Aracena combines the use of ecological materials with the installation of renewable energy generation systems to guarantee both energy efficiency and the least use of resources for its future inhabitants. Proof of this is the A-B rating in emissions and consumption of the Residential, as well as obtaining the developer’s own DOMUM Seal and Green Seal for Sustainable Building.

As part of Metrovacesa’s commitment to respect and care for the environment, it is estimated that 231 trees have been preserved thanks to the actions carried out throughout the Sierra Aracena design process.
