Cordoba, 15 March 2022. Metrovacesa, the leading real estate developer in Spain with more than 100 years of history, held a presentation ceremony this morning in the city of Cordoba for its two new projects in the city, Las Villas, a residential complex of 21 single-family homes located in the heart of El Brillante – Sansueña, just a few minutes from the city centre, and Metropolitan, a development that will develop a total of 108 homes in two phases opposite Mirador de la Albaida and next to Hipercor-El Corte Inglés.
Las Villas is a complex of four-bedroom detached homes distributed over two floors and individual plots of between 630 and 890 m2. In addition, the project will have a communal plot of almost 9,000 m2 and the best design, qualities and amenities on the market, the marketing of which has just begun. In the case of Metropolitan, the marketing of phase I has already begun with the first sales already completed.
During the event, supported by the mayor, José María Bellido, some of Metrovacesa’s top executives were also present, such as Eduardo Carreño, the company’s Operations Director, Antonio Gil, head of the Western Andalusia office, and Marcos Relaño, manager of developments in Cordoba.
This event demonstrates the company’s firm commitment to Cordoba, where the developer began operations more than five years ago and has invested 80 million euros. During this time, Metrovacesa has completed the development of two developments: Mirador de la Albaida, a building of 40 homes already completed and delivered, which has been a great sales success; and Terrazas de Poniente Sur, a residential complex of 128 units completed, sold and delivered 100% and which already stands out in the area for its attractive design and the avant-garde composition of its façade.
Metrovacesa has more than 60,000 m2 of land available for building in Cordoba, the vast majority of which is for residential use, and located in the best sectors such as Poniente and the upper Brillante area. In this sense, the company plans to continue with the development of new projects to boost and improve the supply of new housing in the city, while boosting the economy and employment in the area. In the coming months, Metrovacesa has solid plans to increase its residential offer in the region, with which it reaffirms its commitment to Cordoba, to employment in the city, and to architecture and responsible urban planning with the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
For all its projects in Cordoba, Metrovacesa relies on the in-depth experience and market knowledge of the main local construction companies. The developer also has a corporate sales office in the heart of the city centre, with its own sales team and professionals of Cordovan origin, which is a very important added value to offer a personalised quality service to all its customers.
In addition to the aforementioned completed projects and the launch of Las Villas and Metropolitan, during the event organised by the company, the other development it has underway was also presented, which is in the marketing and construction phase: Panorama, in the same area as Terrazas de Poniente Sur. It has 121 homes in an open block building designed by architect Manuel López, and construction work is well underway. It has already exceeded 50% of pre-sales.
In the words of José María Bellido, Mayor of Cordoba: “The development of new projects in the city of Cordoba through public-private collaboration is great news that we are proud to celebrate as it is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the economic recovery and revitalisation of our city. Undoubtedly, Cordoba is growing and gaining attractiveness and quality of life with the investment and commitment of large companies such as Metrovacesa, who believe in its great potential. From the City Council, we will continue to openly support those projects that seek to respond to the needs of all the people of Cordoba”.
Eduardo Carreño, Operations Director of Metrovacesa, said: “Our commitment to Andalusia is solid and, in particular, the city of Cordoba occupies a strategic place in our global business plan. All the developments that we have been developing, as well as those that are yet to come, as part of our firm commitment to Cordoba, will also provide a strong boost to the local economy and employment levels, as well as generating significant investment interest in the city”.
