Madrid, November 12, 2018
Metrovacesa, the leading property developer in Spain, begins the marketing of four new construction promotions located in Málaga province, which will add more than 300 homes. As part of the company’s operations on the Costa del Sol, it is selling the Alamar Development, in Torremolinos; Dora Maar Development, in Marbella; Halia Development, in Málaga city and Naos 21 Development, in Vélez.
The Alamar development, located in the Torremolinos area, has 123 multi-family homes with 1 to 4 bedrooms. All homes will have large terraces, a garage and storage room, as well as common areas with large gardens with pedestrian paths and two swimming pools. The promotion will be located in one of the most exclusive residential areas of the Torremolinos area, in the ‘La Cizaña’ sector, where the developer is also currently marketing the Nereidas Development.
In a privileged location beside the sea, Alamar Development is located just behind the beachfront, opposite the Álamos Seafront Walk and just twenty minutes from the centre of Málaga. Additionally, health centres, schools, shopping centres, supermarkets and restaurants, which are located near the dwellings, complete a full range of services.
It should be noted that, in keeping with Metrovacesa’s commitment to sustainable development, the south-west direction of the buildings is aimed at improving the energy efficiency of both homes and green areas. The project also stands out through its contemporary design provided for Metrovacesa by Estudio Seguí, which has an important track record in Málaga. Some of its most notable projects in the city include the Hotel Torre del Puerto, Gran Hotel Miramar, the Government Pavilion for the University of Málaga or “La Merced” socio-cultural centre.
Another example of Metrovacesa’s activity on the Costa del Sol is the Dora Maar Development, located in the quiet setting of San Pedro de Alcántara, in Marbella. The development will comprise 65 multi-family homes equipped with swimming pools, a playground and gym. Its location should be highlighted, since it is a few minutes’ walk from the area’s commercial centre with multiple services available to future tenants, just 10 minutes from Puerto Banús and 15 minutes from the centre of Marbella. The renowned Málaga architecture studio, Luis Machuca y Asociados, is in charge of project design.
In Vélez, also within Málaga province, Metrovacesa has begun to market the Naos 21 development, a complex of 21 terraced contemporary design houses, with a garage and storage room. This development is located just ten minutes from the Torre del Mar seafront, the second largest town in the Málaga area whose location provides it with views of both the sea and mountains.
Málaga, strategic hub
Metrovacesa’s activity is not only limited to the most coastal and tourist areas: the developer is currently working on an important project in Málaga capital, in the sector known as Torre del Río and announced last September. This project includes the Halia Development. Now being marketed, it comprises 99 multi-family homes with 1 to 4 bedrooms and large terraces. Among the common areas of the promotion are two swimming pools (one for adults and one for children), a gym, green areas and a playground for children.
The area in which it is located has a high demand for high quality housing, is well established and offers all kinds of services, features and sports facilities that complete the range of services. In addition, it is perfectly connected to the city centre through access by road, buses and metro not far from the houses.
Also noteworthy are the two important “lungs” of vegetation around the project: the West Park and the Coastal Park. Together with the Antonio Banderas Seafront (located just 100 metres away), they make up one of the most dynamic areas of the city today.
The prestigious HCP studio has been chosen to provide the design for this development. This Málaga architecture studio, with extensive experience both at a national and international level, was also chosen for the design of the Nereidas, development in one of the most exclusive residential areas of Torremolinos.
All developments adhere to Metrovacesa’s operational criteria: the strictest standards of quality, innovation and sustainability, both in terms of materials used and finishes and processes. Therefore, the projects will be executed following high levels of energy savings and by respecting for the environment in all phases of each development.
These four new developments highlight the company’s clear commitment to the Costa del Sol, where it has a total of 21 projects currently underway and where it plans to implement new developments in response to high and growing commercial interest. With these four projects, Metrovacesa will allocate an investment of more than 70 million euros to the province.
José Ignacio Carrión, Metrovacesa Regional Manager for Eastern Andalucía, has pointed out that “for Metrovacesa, the Costa del Sol is a strategic hub to which we are firmly committed and where we have numerous projects currently underway. With these four new developments, we have taken another step forward in our commitment to Málaga province, in order to consolidate its urban development through unique and quality projects”.
