Metrovacesa has signed a collaboration agreement with the Madrid Complutense University, to study the property market cycle.

Madrid, xx May, 2019. Metrovacesa, a leading property developer in Spain has signed a collaboration agreement with the Complutense Institute for Economic Analysis (ICAE), part of the Madrid Complutense University (UCM) to study the property market cycle. The agreement, which extends over the next two years, will aim to develop quantitative tools that will enable forecasting future changes in sector trends. To do this the project will concentrate on a deeper understanding of the Spanish property market’s main aggregate and sectoral variables as well as its fluctuations.
This agreement is in response to one of Metrovacesa’s own initiatives and is another example of the company’s commitment to continuous improvement. Its purpose is to forecast new trends and demand within the sector. Based on this and on its motive for improving and broadening its understanding of the economy in which it operates, Metrovacesa recently created a new Research department. By doing so the company intends to reinforce decision-making with analysis of the main global economic indicators and the fundamental driving factors of the property sector.
Under this agreement a team at the Madrid Complutense University, specialising in economic research will carry out the work. Their main aim is to define the current Spanish residential property market cycle and analyse which factors affect the changes in trends and property prices.
