Sustainable Housing

Metrovacesa and sustainable building: lines of action

We are convinced that building the future begins with the way we design and develop our homes. That is why we are committed to creating comfortable, efficient and environmentally friendly spaces.

Our approach is structured around six fundamental axes, represented visually through six icons that summarize the main lines of action that we promote in each project.

Metrovacesa and sustainable building: lines of action

Six axes, six icons

These six lines of action that we have reflected in icons are the following:

Biodiversity

Sustainable Building action lines

Biodiversity

It is the variety of life forms that exist within an ecosystem or, in other words, biodiversity is the variety of living beings that exist on the planet. At Metrovacesa, we are committed to protecting the environment in which our developments take place.

Decarbonization

Decarbonization

It is the process of reducing or eliminating Carbon Dioxide or CO2 or other greenhouse gases from the atmosphere. And it is the Life Cycle Assessment or LCA the key tool that allows us to evaluate the environmental impact (CO2 produced) that has the design and construction of our developments.

Circular economy

Sustainable Building action lines

Circular economy

It is an economic approach that seeks to maximize the use of resources and minimize the impact generated by waste. For this we use a system called the "Three R's" which consists of reduce, recycle and reuse. In Metrovacesa we apply these systems from the design of the project.

Energy efficiency

Sustainable Building action lines

Energy efficiency

It is the ability of a building to use energy optimally, minimizing the consumption of energy resources while maximizing the comfort and functionality of its occupants. In Metrovacesa most of our developments have AA energy certification.

135
Industrialization

Sustainable Building action lines

Industrialization

It is the application of industrial methods and techniques to the construction of buildings, seeking to improve the efficiency, quality and speed of the construction process. Metrovacesa is already working on the application of this system in its projects.

Water footprint

Water footprint

At Metrovacesa, we work with elements such as aerators, low-flow toilets or native species with low irrigation needs to minimize, as far as possible, the water footprint of our developments.
