Metrovacesa is one of the leading real estate companies in Spain, with more than €2.5 billion of assets under management and one of the most valued and attractive land banks in the country. He joined Metrovacesa to reorganise the company and relaunch its development activity after the economic crisis in Spain, leading the company's IPO in 2018.
Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the Company, Mr. Pérez de Leza was Managing Director for Europe at Grupo Lar from April 2005 to November 2016, Managing Director of European Operations at Excite @ Home from September 1998 to December 2005 and worked at Boston Consulting Group from September 1991 to September 1998. Carmen has designed and implemented innovation models and has developed disruptive projects with startups in the Fintech, Proptech and Blockchain fields.
Previously, Carmen, who has a degree in Business Administration and Management from ICADE and the University of Vermond, has training in Digital Transformation at ISDI and PDD on Cultural Transformation and Leadership at Deusto Business School, held the position of Director of the Strategic Office Grupo Lar and carried out technological consultancy for Banco Santander in Europe and Latin America.
Carmen has led the Alastria Innovation and Talent Commission, the first multi-sector consortium for the establishment of a Blockchain infrastructure in Spain, since its creation.

Juan Carlos has a great experience in different positions in property companies and investment banking. He came from Testa Residencial where he was Strategy and Investor Relations Manager. From 2010 to 2017, he was Executive Director at Espirito Santo Investment Bank and senior equity analyst at Haitong Bank. Previously, between 2005 and 2010, he worked at the French company Gecina as Director of Strategy and Markets, as well as Director of Investor Relations in Metrovacesa from 2002 to 2007.
Juan Carlos has a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Valladolid and has an International Master in Business Administration (IMBA) from the IE Business School in Madrid. He began his professional career in investment banking, specifically at Merrill Lynch, where he worked as a senior equity analyst between 1993 and 2001.
