Metrovacesa appoints Carmen Chicharro as its Innovation and Marketing Director

Madrid, xx April 2018. Metrovacesa, the leading real estate developer in Spain, has appointed Carmen Chicharro as its new Innovation and Marketing Director.
With more than eighteen years of experience in management positions related to innovation, organizational transformation and HR strategy, Carmen previously worked at Bankia where she was Director of Innovation in Financial Services. In this position she was responsible for the design and implementation of the bank’s innovation model, creating innovative solutions for individual customers and corporate clients. She was also responsible for the development of disruptive projects in the areas of Fintech, Proptech and Blockchain, with start-ups in the INNSOMNIA business incubator in Valencia.
Carmen, who graduated in Business Management and Administration from ICADE and the University of Vermont, and also trained in Digital Transformation at ISDI, formerly held the position of Strategic Office Director of Grupo Lar and also worked as a technology consultant for Banco Santander in Europe and Latin America.
Carmen was head of the Innovation and Talent Committee at Alastria from its inception, the first multi-sector consortium for establishing a Blockchain infrastructure in Spain.
With this appointment, Metrovacesa further strengthens its innovation strategy, which entails putting the customer at the forefront and guaranteeing the very highest standards of quality, design, safety and sustainability in its products. In her new position at Metrovacesa, Carmen will be reporting directly to the Chief Executive and will head up the company’s innovation and marketing strategy.
