Almeria, 24 February 2023. Metrovacesa, Spain’s leading real estate developer with over one hundred years of history, today inaugurates the Itamar residential complex at a groundbreaking ceremony. The project, located in Almerimar, consists of 115 homes distributed in 2 phases and boasts an exceptional beachfront location.
The company plans to invest close to 24 million euros in the development. The complex, whose construction work began in January 2023, highlights Metrovacesa’s commitment to satisfy the demand for new construction, which is becoming increasingly latent in the Almeria area. It also highlights the developer’s commitment to the Almerimar sector, where it has recently completed another project, Residencial Aria, bringing the total number of homes developed in the area to 199.
The homes in the Itamar residential complex have large terraces and green areas which, via pedestrian walkways, lead to the swimming pool and children’s play area. The development also offers private plots for the ground floors and spacious penthouses, all designed in a modern architectural style.
The private beachfront development, with direct access to the promenade and the beach of Almerimar, is strategically distributed to make the most of natural light and to enjoy the comfort of a peaceful environment that invites you to relax. On the other hand, its location combines the security of the area with the proximity to the marina, the golf course, schools and a multitude of commercial services.
The plot of the residential complex today brought together different personalities who were present at the groundbreaking ceremony and inaugurated the project. The event was attended by Mr. Francisco Góngora Cara, Mayor of El Ejido, Mr. Alberto González López, Third Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Public Works and Town Planning, Mr. Inocencio Gabriel Manzano Cara, President of the Local Council of Almerimar, as well as Metrovacesa executives.
Lorenzo Santana, Metrovacesa’s Territorial Delegate in Eastern Andalusia, highlighted that: “Almeria is an area full of charm, cheerful and with a special attraction. At Metrovacesa we are excited to think that we have been working together for 6 years and we have done our bit in the creation of new neighbourhoods, in the revitalisation of the economy of the area and, above all, in trying to improve the quality of life of its residents and the supply of new housing in the locality.
Metrovacesa has, since its beginnings more than 100 years ago, strong roots in Andalusia. Without a doubt, Almerimar and Almería occupy a very representative place in the company’s business plan and will continue to do so for many years to come”, said the Delegate during the inauguration ceremony.
In line with Metrovacesa’s strategy of sustainable and responsible design, the development of Itamar follows demanding quality standards, seeking maximum energy efficiency. Sustainability and respect for the environment are a strategic priority for Metrovacesa, and for this reason, as is standard practice in its developments, this project will apply in its development measures focused on improving the quality of life of future owners. In this sense, Itamar is being built with the highest classifications in Energy Certification, applying Metrovacesa’s DOMUM Commitment to sustainability; also seeking innovative construction solutions to minimise the carbon footprint throughout the life cycle of the building(s), and of course, the application of alternative energies to reduce the consumption of those less green, having a positive impact on nature.
