Metrovacesa obtains planning permission for Edifici Barberà, its new development near Barcelona

• Edifici Barberà stands out for its modern and functional design, with 107 multi-family dwellings with between 2 and 3 bedrooms, 18 of which are subsidised, including penthouses with solariums and ground floor apartments with gardens.

• The development has communal areas such as gardens and an outdoor swimming pool adorned with native vegetation for the preservation of the environment.

Barcelona, 19 March 2024. Metrovacesa, Spain’s leading real estate developer with more than one hundred years of history and more than 150 projects under development nationwide, has obtained the building permit for Edifici Barberà, a few kilometres from Barcelona. Delivery of the development is scheduled for the first half of 2026. An investment of 25.7 million euros has been earmarked for the development of the project.

The development consists of 107 multi-family homes, with layouts ranging from 2 to 3 bedrooms, including penthouses with solariums and ground floor apartments with gardens. Of the units in the development, 18 of them are at an agreed price. All the homes have outdoor terraces and large windows, as well as an avant-garde and modern design focused on the comfort of the future inhabitants. The units include features such as garage access and storage rooms.

Edifici Barberà has been designed by Farrés Frias Architects, following a modern architectural line that culminates in the use of the highest quality materials. In addition to the residential building itself, the development includes communal spaces such as landscaped communal areas, leisure areas and private gardens. These areas have been decorated with autochthonous and aromatic plant species to adapt to the environment of the area.

Metrovacesa, through its developments, promotes sustainability and policies to preserve the environment and care for the communities.
