Madrid, 18 October 2023. Metrovacesa, Spain’s leading real estate developer with more than 100 years of history and more than 150 projects under development nationwide, broadcast for the first time a live event on MVC Space, the first virtual and immersive website in the real estate sector. As part of the Proximity Week by NESI, we held the webinar “CIUDAD PRÓXIMA: urban innovation for sustainable development”, a pioneering initiative of Metrovacesa’s Sustainable Urban Development department in collaboration with the UNED-Lincoln Institute Chair in Land Policy.

A forum in which lessons learned, projects and innovative strategies for the transition towards a more resilient, proximate and sustainable urban environment were shared with relevant experts from different fields.

The round table “Challenges, actors and alliances” was attended by Marta Lora-Tamayo, Director of the UNED-LILP Chair, Carlos Martí, Director of the Sustainable City Magazine, Mª Paz Sangiao, Schematic Technical Director at BREEAM® Spain, and Almudena Cano, Head of Sustainable Urban Development at Metrovacesa.

The speakers at the round table “Experiences from practice” were Manuel Domínguez from Zuloark, Luis Palacios from Arenas Basabe Palacios, Manuel Rodríguez from Cámara Cívica, and Esaú Acosta from Vivero de Iniciativas Ciudadanas (VIC).
